The 2017 growing season was characterised by a cool spring and warm summer. Two cane, vertical shoot positioned (VSP) Clone 110 vines were carefully managed with shoot and bunch thinning, along with a calculated level of leaf exposure to deliver low yielding, clean fruit with concentrated flavours. A single small parcel was harvested in early April; lightly pressed and fermented in chilled stainless steel with yeast designed to highlight aromatic characteristics. Bottled September 2017.
